  • Why You Should Use Keywords In Title Tags

It's wise to include keywords in in the title tag of each page. The title tag is not the same as a Meta tag, however it is worth thinking about it in relation to them. Whatever text one places in the title tag will show up in the title bar of the users internet browsers while they view the webpage.

The text you put in the title tag of each page is actually one of the most vital things in search engine optimization. Also, nearly all major web crawlers will use the text of your title tag as the title of your listings.

If you designed your website as a bunch of individual pages, and not just a home page you must remember that each page of your whole website has to be optimized for search engines. Adding your keywords in the title of each page of your website will improve your search engine rankings and increase traffic to your site.

Also put keywords that relate to the actual page not just the main keywords for the website. A very common mistake made by lots of business owners when they initially create their website is to place their company name in the title tag of every page. In realiyy, a lot of of prospective customers do not bother to know the name of your company until after they have checked out your website and decided it is a good site.

So, while you might want your business name in the title of the home page, it might be a waste of keyword space. It is much better to place keywords in the title so that your site will be displayed closer to the top of the search engine results.
